We’re currently partnering with a rapidly scaling industrial automation company that is transforming packaging and assembly operations for the food & beverage sector.

Our client has developed a network of highly automated manufacturing hubs alongside a mobile manufacturing platform, enabling flexible, modular automation deployments across multiple locations in the US. As the business continues to expand, they are looking to hire a Senior Controls & Automation Engineer to play a key role in architecting and scaling their automation infrastructure.

The Opportunity

This role sits at the heart of the company’s automation strategy. You will be responsible for the design, deployment, and standardisation of robotics and controls systems across a growing network of automated sites.

This is not just a project engineering role — the successful candidate will help define the long-term automation architecture and standards used across the business.

Key areas of focus include:

• Designing PLC logic and HMI systems for advanced secondary packaging lines

• Integrating and programming industrial robots and collaborative robots

• Developing reusable automation standards and code libraries

• Supporting commissioning and go-live of new automation deployments

• Acting as the escalation point for complex automation issues

• Evaluating new robotics and AI-driven automation technologies

• Implementing networking standards for industrial automation environments

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in speaking with engineers who bring strong hands-on expertise in industrial automation and robotics within manufacturing environments.

Key experience includes:

• 5+ years working with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley

• Experience integrating industrial robots or cobots in production environments

• Strong understanding of Fanuc Robot cells

• Background in packaging, FMCG, sortation, or high-speed manufacturing automation environments is highly advantageous
