An early-stage company developing next-generation humanoid robotic systems is looking for a Robotics Engineer to help build and integrate the core intelligence behind real-world robotic platforms.

This role will focus on developing and integrating perception systems, motion planning, and embedded AI to enable robots to operate reliably in complex environments.

You will work across the robotics stack, collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, and AI engineers to bring robotic systems from development into real-world operation.


The Role

You will be responsible for building and integrating robot perception, motion control, and embedded intelligence systems that power a humanoid robotics platform.

Working across robotics software and system integration, you will help develop algorithms and software that allow robots to sense, plan, and move safely in the physical world.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate robot perception and computer vision systems
  • Implement motion planning and control algorithms
  • Build software for robot navigation, manipulation, and interaction
  • Integrate embedded AI systems into robotic platforms
  • Work with sensor systems including cameras, LiDAR, and IMUs
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams during system integration
  • Support robot testing, debugging, and performance optimisation
  • Contribute to development of reliable robotics software for real-world environments

Requirements

  • Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience developing robotics software or algorithms
  • Experience with computer vision, perception, or sensor fusion
  • Experience with motion planning or robot control systems
  • Experience working with robot sensors and real-world robotic platforms
  • Strong programming experience with C++ and/or Python
  • Experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS / ROS2

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with humanoid robots or complex robotic systems
  • Experience with embedded AI or edge AI systems
  • Experience integrating vision systems with robotic motion
  • Experience in early-stage robotics or fast-paced development environments
  • Experience deploying robotics systems into real-world environments
