Electrical Engineer – Robotics & Embedded Electronics

An early-stage company developing next-generation humanoid robotic systems is looking for an Electrical Engineer to design and develop the electronics that power and control advanced robotic hardware.
This role will focus on designing board-level electronics for motor control, sensors, and high-speed communication systems, while supporting hardware bring-up, debugging, and system integration within a highly collaborative robotics engineering team.
The Role
You will be responsible for designing and developing electronics systems that support the core functionality of a humanoid robotic platform.
Working closely with mechanical, controls, and robotics software engineers, you will play a key role in delivering reliable electronics for motion systems, sensing, and communication across the robot.
Responsibilities
- Design board-level electronics for robotics applications
- Develop electronics supporting motor control, sensors, and high-speed communication systems
- Lead hardware bring-up, validation, and debugging of new boards and subsystems
- Design and review schematics and PCB layouts
- Support integration of embedded processors, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces
- Work closely with cross-functional teams across robotics software, controls, and mechanical engineering
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and support system-level testing and integration
- Improve designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Robotics, or similar
- Experience designing board-level electronics for embedded or robotics systems
- Experience with motor control electronics, sensors, or actuator systems
- Experience designing and debugging schematics and PCB layouts
- Experience bringing up and debugging complex hardware systems
- Experience working with high-speed communication interfaces
- Robotics or electromechanical systems experience (robotics, autonomous systems, industrial automation, or similar)
Nice to Have
- Experience designing electronics for robotics or motion systems
- Experience working with embedded processors or microcontrollers
- Experience with sensor integration and signal processing
- Experience in early-stage robotics or fast-paced hardware environments
- Experience supporting prototype builds and hardware iteration
