An early-stage company developing next-generation humanoid robotic systems is looking for an AI / Machine Learning Engineer to work on multimodal AI systems powering intelligent robotic platforms.

This role will focus on fine-tuning and deploying multimodal models, building robust data pipelines, and developing systems that enable robots to reason about and interact with the real world.

You will work on model training, retrieval systems, and deployment infrastructure as part of a highly collaborative robotics and AI engineering team.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing and deploying multimodal AI systems that integrate language, vision, and contextual data to support intelligent robotics applications.

Working closely with robotics engineers, software engineers, and data teams, you will design scalable infrastructure for training, serving, and integrating AI models into robotic systems.

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune and deploy multimodal machine learning models
• Develop data pipelines for training and evaluating AI systems
• Design and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures
• Build scalable systems for model serving and deployment
• Integrate AI models into robotics and software systems
• Work on model optimisation, evaluation, and performance improvement
• Support development of systems enabling agent-to-agent (A2A) and MCP-based interactions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across robotics, software, and data engineering

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
• Experience working with large language models or multimodal models
• Experience fine-tuning and deploying ML models
• Experience building data pipelines for ML systems
• Experience implementing RAG or retrieval-based AI systems
• Experience with model serving and scalable AI infrastructure
• Strong programming experience with Python and ML frameworks

• Experience working on multimodal models combining vision and language
• Experience building AI systems for robotics or embodied AI
• Experience with distributed training or large-scale ML systems
• Experience working in early-stage or fast-paced AI environments
